Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks for Mar. 22

Published Mar 22 2013 - 5:03pm by Joseph Misurelli

Wednesday’s lineup looked really nice while LBJ and the Heat were getting pounded by the Cavs and OKC’s Westbrook and Durant were struggling as well. Unfortunately The Heat made a miracle comeback and James ended up with 50+. Durant’s score benefitted from the Memphis-Oklahoma City going into overtime.

As for my own picks, Duncan was astounding against the Warriors and had a huge night. Unfortunately Kawhi Leonard was missing in action in that game, which killed my lineup along with the poor performances of Andrew Bogut and Brandon Jennings, who was merely average (at least he wasn’t a disaster like Monta Ellis). It was a very frustrating night because I had some nice picks in Duncan, Gordon Hayward, and James Harden but the misses were too much to overcome. If only I had gone with Jonas Valuncias at Center I would have been in or much closer to the money.

But today is another day and here is the lineup I am trying to rebound with on FanDuel for tonights NBA contests:

Atlanta Hawks point guard Jeff Teague

PG: Jeff Teague $6700: Teague is back in the starting lineup after a brief injury and it seems he has got his game back after a few off nights. Portland is also quite terrible on the road and also 20th against opposing PG. Teague should have a decent night.

PG: Jeremy Lin $6200: One can only hope that the Cavs bring the same competitiveness they did against Miami instead of the one effort they put up against the Pacers. Otherwise its going to be a short night for Lin. I am thinking they keep it close due to the Rockets poor D and that Lin will have a good night against the Cavs all-reserve backcourt (Livingston, Ellington).

SG: Wayne Ellington $3800: Speaking of Ellington he had a great night against Miami and comes super cheap. The Rockets give up a ton of points and since Lin is their best defender the backcourt and will be on Livingston there exists a good possibility Ellington gets 25+ again.

SG: James Harden $9500: Harden is in the NBA’s top 5 in scoring and is a beast. The Cavs won’t stop him and between him, Kobe, and Wade I feel Harden will have the best game tonight.

SF: Paul Pierce $7900: One of the league’s best second-tier values. He doesn’t have the luster of Durant or James but he more often than not can net you 30+. His ceiling isn’t as high as the two superstar SF’s, he won’t get you 50 fdp but he also comes 2000 cheaper so 30+ is more than alright and a very safe bet from Pierce. The Bos-Dal game should be very close as well which should motivate Pierce all night.

SF: LeBron James $9900: I am not betting against James any more. His price is high but he is the league’s best player and pretty much unstoppable.

PF: Markieff Morris $4000: Morris is going to have good minutes with Jermaine O’Neal missing the game. Hopefully he gets the start at PF with Scola at C so he avoids being matched up again Pekovic. Either way he is a great bargain because I don’t like the match ups the elite PF have to go against tonight. PF is the position I am going to go all bargains on tonight.

PF: Tyler Hansbrough $4900: David West is out again and Hansborough has shown extreme hustle and great results in his handful of starts. Milwaukee is really poor up front on D despite Larry Sanders gaudy blocks per game average. Tyler should get his tonight.

C: Roy Hibbert $7000: Hibbert has been up and down, but Milwaukee is pathetic against C’s. I think the Pacers bigs will do the damage tonight against the Bucks so I am taking both Hansborough and Hibbert and hoping for the best.

Total Daily Fantasy NBA Salaries: $59,900
