Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks for March 8
Wednesday’s lineup was moderately successful. No late scratches, no in-game injuries, and no Kirk Hinrich comebacks – all tragedies which befell previous lineups. Wednesday’s pick were good enough to win a few head-to-heads and just outside money placement in the big tourneys. Riding on the back of that moderate success here are my picks for Friday’s slate of NBA games over at FanDuel.com. Play this lineup, or you know, just stack a lineup of players from the HOU-GS game if you want to be safe:
PG: Stephen Curry $9,400: Curry faces the defense giving up the most points in the league and although Jeremy Lin is a good defender, which makes Houston not as generous against PG’s as they are against every other position, Curry is not your typical point guard.

Boston Celtics guard Avery Bradley directs his team during the first half against the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center. Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports
PG: Avery Bradley $4,500: Bradley is starting to log heavy minutes at PG in the wake of Rondo’s season ending injury and the ensuing backcourt audition amongst several Celtics to fill his big shoes. Bradley is an elite defender and has started to put up points as well. He will face Jeff Teague, who averages about three turnovers a game.
SG: Jared Dudley $3,600: I am going to go on a crazy limb and predict that Dudley experiences a one-game renaissance against the Sacramento Kings seeing that their D gives up a crazy amount of points to SG (and a crazy amount of points in general).
SG: Kevin Martin $4,000: Martin could see good minutes in this contest against an overmatched Bobcats team. I would avoid the big stars of OKC tonight. They will get their points for sure, but they might get some needed rest if things get out of hand early on, which is a very real possibility.
SF: LeBron James $9,900: James has a couple lackluster (by his absurd point standards) nights but should rebound against the Sixers, who are really tanking in the past month. Philly is good against SG, and although Wade will definitely buck the trend, look for James to be the better pick of the two.
SF: Paul George $8,800: George should be able to exploit the matchup with Orlando, who have been giving up good points to SF’s of late. George is still the unquestioned scoring machine of this Pacers team and although the Pacers aren’t an offensive juggernaut they should do well against Orlando.
PF: David Lee $8,800: Again, with the ghastly amount of points Houston gives up I am going to roll with the top two scorers from the Warriors squad. Lee is a safe bet to get at least 30 fdp on any given night, and tonights matchup is very soft.
PF: Carlos Boozer $6,600: Boozer faces off against his old squad in Chicago. The Jazz are beaten up in the frontcourt, trying configurations of Favors, Milsap and Kanter while they await Al Jefferson‘s return. Boozer could be very valuable for the price.
C: Andrea Bargnani $4,300: To Make this lineup work salary-wise you have to go cheap at C and I think Bargnani is the best bet to fill the cheap shoes for tonight. He looks to be shaking the rust off and if he can get you 20 tonight you are golden.
Total NBA lineup salary: $59,900
